Recipe for beef and sauerkraut

I once had a roast beef that had been browned and then placed in a bed of kraut, salt pepper and flour added, covered with kraut and placed in the oven. When done the flour and juices had made a fine gravy. The next time small potatoes and onions were added and the result was quite good. Has anyone had a roast made this way? If yes I would like the complete recipe and cooking instructions.
