Best Frank’s kraut Ever

3 cans Frank's Kraut

1 pound bacon

4 diced onions

1 stick margarine

2 tablespoons brown sugar

salt & pepper to taste


1Put Frank's Kraut in a colander and lightly rinse.

2Squeeze the Frank's Kraut well and place in a roaster.

3Fry bacon until crisp, crumble over Frank's Kraut.

4Saute diced onions in bacon drippings until golden brown, add the stick of margarine cook until it's melted. Pour over Frank's Kraut.

5Salt & pepper to taste, mix well.

6Cover roaster and place in a 350o oven for at least an hour stirring occasionally.


1if you like a more tart Frank's Kraut put in a little vinegar. If you like a sweeter taste add a little brown sugar.
