4 Western style pork ribs (lean)
1 14 oz. can sauerkraut
5 or 6 small redskin potatoes (unpeeled)
1 14 oz. can diced tomatoes (I zap in blender)
Water (rinse out tomato can)
Pepper (I use seasoned pepper)
1Rinse and drain kraut. Put in the bottom of crock pot.
2Cover with ribs, potatoes, pepper, tomatoes & water.
3Turn crock pot on high. Go to work.
4Come home to a wonderful aroma.
5Break up meat and potatoes; remove bones.
6Breaking up the potatoes absorbs a little of the liquid.
7It will be a little soupy we eat it in bowls.

Rinsing and draining the kraut cuts down the sodium content. If you would like to skip that step you absolutely can 🙂

I make a similar recipe, why would someone drain the kraut juice which has so much flavor than add no flavor water, that makes no sense to me. Just sayin.

The best thing about these is how few ingredients you need. And how easy they are to make.
Yummy, and very easy to make.
perfect for dinner
