Grandpa’s Kraut Salad

1 - 14oz can Frank's Sauerkraut

1/2c Celery (chopped fine)

1/4c Onion (chopped fine)

1/4c Green Pepper (diced)

1/4c Pimento

1/4c Sugar

1/8c Vinegar

Dash of Pepper


1Combine kraut, celery, onion, green pepper and pimento in bowl.

2In sauce pan mix together sugar, vinegar and pepper.

3Bring to a boil. Make sure sugar is dissolved.

4Remove from heat and cool.

5When cool add 1/2 T cooking oil and pour over kraut mixture.

6Refrigerate overnight.
