Kraut and pork

Ingredients

  • 1/4 C brown Sugar
  • 1C chopped onion
  • 2T caraway seed
  • 1 T dill seed
  • 1 lb thick cut pork loin (browned in butter)
  • 2 smoked polish sausage
  • 6 C prepared kraut

Method

Step 1

Lawyer in crock in order: browned pork loin, 3 C prepared kraut,

Step 2

1 T caraway seed, 1/2 T dill seed, 1/2 of chopped onion, sprinkle 1/2 of the brown sugar.

Step 3

Repeat layer in order as above using the polish sausage in your 2nd layer.

Step 4

Cook in crock pot on low for 6-8 hours. kraut will turn to a light brown.

Step 5

If cooking in oven crock cook for 2 hours on 350 oven.
