2 1/2 lbs. gr. beef

1 med. onion-chopped

1 med gr. pepper-chopped

2- 14 oz. cans FRANK'S sweet bavarian kraut

6-8 cups mashed potatoes

6-8 pats butter or margarine

paprika (optional)


1brown the gr. beef with the chopped onion and gr. pepper. drain excess fat.

2place gr. beef mixture in a 9x13 pan.

3drain 1-2 tbls. liquid from each can of FRANK'S sweet bavarian sauerkraut. Spread kraut over the beef mixture.

4spread the mashed potatoes over the layer of kraut, making sure to seal to edge of pan.

5arrange pate of butter or margarine on top of mashed potatoes.

6sprinkle with paprika, is desired.

7bake @ 350 degrees until light golden brown and hot (40-50 minutes)
