pickled pork shoulder
sauerkraut (we use Tancook Island made locally)
2 med onions
water to cover
(peeled apples optional)
lots of pepper
1Cook 3-4 hours in large pot...maintaining a gentle simmer.
2Add more water as necessary.
3Serve hot..meat will be very tender.Separate sauerkraut into separate serving dish and top with butter.
4We always eat this with mashed potatoes.

perfect kraut recipe
easy and so delicious. A definite recommendation
pickled pork with kraut is not an ideal combination i think
