Sauerkraut and Scraps

1 jar of Sauerkraut

1 pack of bacon or 4 tablespoons of bacon grease

5 or 6 oz of cooked ham

2 cooked pork steaks, pork chops or whatever leftover pork you have.

Salt, pepper and garlic to taste.

Rice or potatoes cooked.


1Brown bacon ( if just bacon grease, skip). Put bacon and grease in the bottom of your crock pot on high.

2Drain jar of Sauerkraut into strainer and rinse.

3Pour into Crock pot.

4Stir well


6Cook for 1 hour stirring occasionally.

7Chop up leftover pork

8Mix in Crock pot.

9Cook until heated through

10Serve over rice or potatoes.
