Sauerkraut Balls

Ingredients

  • 3-4 lbs. bulk sausage
  • 1 med. onion
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 cup beef bouillon broth
  • 6 cups sauerkraut - drained and chopped
  • Flour to roll balls in
  • Eggs and milk to make batter to roll balls in
  • Bread crumbs to roll balls in

Method

Step 1

Brown sausage and onion. Drain grease.

Step 2

Mix 1/2 c. flour with sausage and onion.

Step 3

Add beef bouillon broth to above mixture and mix well.

Step 4

Add sauerkraut to mixture and mix well.

Step 5

Refridgerate until cold. Roll into medium size balls. Roll in flour. Roll in egg and milk batter. Roll in bread crumbs.

Step 6

Deep fry 1-2 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
