Sauerkraut balls

  • 1 bag of kraut drained
  • 1 # bulk sausage, like Jimmy Dean
  • 1 8 oz package cream cheese
  • flour for dipping
  • eggs for dipping
  • bread crumbs for coating


Step 1

Mix kraut, sausage and cream cheese in a bowl. If it is too sticky, add a little bread crumb to get it to a consistancy you can roll in to a ball.

Step 2

Roll each ball in flour, then egg then in bread crumbs. Place on greased pan

Step 3

Bake in oven at 350° for 20 minutes or until golden. These can also be deep fried if that is your preference. When I became health consious I started baking them and liked them even better than fried.
