28oz.Snow Floss Kraut, No substitutions, no polish style
1 large white onion, coarsely chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 cup water
2 tsp. salt
black pepper to taste
1/4 tsp. celery seed
2 or more pounds Hillshire Farms kielbasa
Can add a few roasted pork chops or ribs, cooked well
1Place Frank's Kraut into dutch oven or slow cooker, set heat to low.
2Add fresh chopped onion, garlic, water and spices. Stir well to combine all.
3Cut kielbasa into serving size pieces. Place into pot standing on end. Push down to cover.
4Top with cooked pork if desired. Press down into liquid.
5Cover dutch oven or slow cooker and simmer on low. 3-4 hours.
