8 ounces fresh button mushrooms
1 large yellow onion
4 tablespoons of butter
1 pound smoked garlic sausage
salt & pepper to taste
2 cans of suaerkraut
1Boil smoked garlic sausage for about 1/2 hour. Drain water and remove sausage from pot.
2Rough chop onions and saute in same pot with butter til starting to become translucent.
3Add sliced fresh mushrooms to onions and cook until they begin to render their water.
4Add Frank's Kraut to onions and mushrooms. Add 1 cup of water. Salt and pepper to taste. Cover pot.
5Heat Frank's Kraut, onions, and mushroom mixture thouroughly and then add smoked garlic sausage.
6Cook until water almost evaporates.
