Nana's Polish sauerkraut Servings: 4/6

1 medium onion
3 rashers of smoked bacon
1 small cabbage
1 jar of sauerkraut
2 bay leaves
1 cup of vegetable stock
Whole pepper corns
2 large Smoked Polish or German sausage
- Chop and dice the onion then slice the cabbage and bacon
heat oil in a large pan and add the bacon and onion and cook through on a low heat
- Once the onion and bacon has cooked off add the cabbage, sauerkraut,stock, bay leaf,and a small hand full of whole pepper corns and stir over a low heat.
- cut the sausage into 1 inch slices and add to the pan stir all the ingredents together and leave on a low heat for about one hour
- once cooked strain and serve
