1 pound of good smoked bacon
1 large onion chopped
1/2 bag of saurkraut
5 potatoes peeled
2 cups of flour
pinch of salt

  1. cut bacon into 1 inch peices and chop onion slightly big and cook them until bacon is crispy{DONT DRAIN FAT LEAVE IN PAN WITH BACON AND ONION}put aside until needed

  2. bring 2 quarts of water to a boil.

  3. While water is boiling cut potatoes in half and put into a blender and blend until smooth.

  4. Take 2 cups of flour into a large bowl and add the potato mixture.Stir until thick.May have to add more flour. You want it like thick playdough.

  5. Once water is boiling turn down and add by little spoonfuls the flour mixture.Add only about 20 spoonfuls each pot of water.

  6. boil for about 10 minutes and drain.Add this to your bacon and onion and stir.

  7. Once it is all together add salt and pepper and put inti a large skillet and keep on low heat until ready to eat.

  8. You may put kraut into mixture but i like to keep it on the side cold.
