Pig Tails & Sauerkraut
Servings: 4-6

1 lb bag of sauerkraut
2 good sized pig tails
small apple
3 cups water

  1. Clean pig tails throughly
     
  2. Open bag of kraut and pour the contents, juice and all, into a crockpot along with the water.
     
  3. Peel the apple and place it in the crockpot with the kraut
     
  4. Place pigtails in crockpot and stir contenets covering the pig tails.
     
  5. Set crockpot on a low to mediaum temperature and cover the pot.
     
  6. Let cook for 3 to 4 hours, stirring occasionally.
     
  7. When pig tails are tender break them up throughout the pot.
     
  8. Serve as a sidedish, goes partcularly well with a Thanksgiving meal, with a piece of the pigtail with each serving.
     

Prep Time: 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 hours
Cook Time: 3 to four hours
