1 Jar of SnowFloss Sauerkraut
1/2 Head of Cabbage
1 3-4 lb. Pork Roast
2 -12oz. Bottles of German-style Beer
1 1/2 Tablespoons of Caraway seed
Fresh ground pepper for top of roast
Slow Cooker or "Crock Pot"
- Rinse sauerkraut under cold water in a collander for a minute then press the excess water out.
- Thinly slice a half head of cabbage, similar to the cut of sauerkraut before it is fermented.
- Add cabbage to the sauerkraut in the slow cooker, add caraway seed, mix ingredients.
- Pour beer over the mixture. Crack fresh pepper over roast top and rub in. Place roast on top of sauerkraut/cabbage mixture.
- Cover and cook in slow cooker until meat pulls apart easily. The result has a much milder sauerkraut flavor but is still excellent.

Cook Time: 8+ hours in slow cooker
