Swwet Kraut and Pork Servings: 6

6 Western style Pork Ribs
3 bags Suaer Kraut
3 cups packs Dark Brown sugar
- Rinse the pork ribs then, in a skillet on high heat, brown the ribs on each side to seal in the juices. Open and drain the juice form the kraut then place in a large bowl and mix in the brown sugar.
- After the above steps are complete, in a small roaster pan, place a layer of the kraut, then place the ribs on top, then put the remaining kraut on top. Add water to take the level to approximately 1 1/2" below the top of the kraut. Put the cover on the raoster and cook on either high heat or a 400 degree over for 1 1/2 to 2 hrs until ribs are fully cooked.
- This recipe has been a family favorite for 35 plus years and I have made it for friends and co-workers and it is a hit every time.
Prep Time: 30 to 45 minutes
Cook Time: 1 1/2 to 2 hours
