1-quart homemade kraut
1-bunch of green onions
1/2 pound bacon
large cast iron skillit #12 or bigger
2 lbs of good smoked sausage
- brown bacon in large skillit and remove from grease leave grease in skillit and chop up green onions and fry them in the bacon grease until tender then add kraut to pan and simmer until hot then crumble bacon and add to mixture i cut my sausage on a diagonal and fry in a different pan in butter and then layer over kraut and serve
