easy sauerkraut

cabbage
kosher salt
white vinegar
sugar

  1. Be sure to make in the full moon. have jars and lids ready.
     
  2. chop or shread cabbage, add to jars, put 1t salt, 1t sugar, 1t vinegar, add very hot water, wipe rims seal jars, process for 5 minutes in hot water bath, or I have omitted the hot water bath. store in a cool dark place, will be ready in about 6 weeks, I have had good luck with this, Nicky
