Crockpot Hungarian Beef Goulash

Ingredients

2 medium onions, halved and sliced
1-1/2 lb. boneless beef chuck or round steak, cut into 1" cubes
4 tsp. paprika
1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
4 TB catsup
3 TB water
3/4 lb. small red potatoes, scrubbed and shredded

Directions

Add to a 3-1/2 quart crockpot, mix tegether well. Add on top: 1 can (14-1/2 oz.) sauerkraut, rinsed and drained well. Mix well, cover and cook on LOW heat setting for 8 hours, or until the beef is tender.

Mix gently and stir in: 1/2 cup sour cream 1 tsp. caraway seeds (optional) Garnish with chopped parsley and serve.
